The Advantages and Disadvantages of studying Abroad

Every parent wants the best for their children. When it comes to education, parents want to take their children to go to the best schools and universities they can afford. They believe that education is the key of a successful and wealthy life. Some parents even make a big economic effort to send their children to a foreign country. They think that studying abroad will give their children better career opportunities. However, studying abroad might have as many advantages as disadvantages.

Studying in a different county has the great advantages of learning proficiently a new language. Languages such as English or German are very valued when looking for a job. In Thailand, having knowledge of Chinese and Japanese is also very important. Furthermore, some foreign universities offer a high level of education, large amount of resources and a highly qualified faculty. In addition, learning a new culture might be advantages for one’s personal life, since it might help US to face life from different perspectives. Moreover, students can help promote Thailand and Thailand’s way of life. This is not only beneficial to the student but to the country.

On the other hand, studying abroad has disadvantages as well. The major drawback of studying abroad is money. It is very expensive to study in a different country, especially in Western countries where the cost of living is much higher than Thailand’s. Tuition, books, room and board, and traveling expenses on Western countries are only affordable by wealthy families. In addition, not all foreign universities offer a better education as some Thai universities. Some universities and colleges in Thailand are as good as some universities in Europe and America. One has to be very careful when choosing what school to go to. Another problem that students might encounter after a few years abroad is the loss of touch with the social, politic and economic life of their home countries.

In summary, there are many aspects to think about when deciding whether to study abroad or not. Learning a new language is very useful in life, but one must keep in mind that there are disadvantages as well. Most importantly, one must remember that Thailand has some good education centers that attract students from many countries of Asia

What People Need Most

Some people spend mot of their lives searching for happiness. They ask themselves what they need to do to be happy. This question does not have an easy answer. What people need most varies from people to people. Wealthy people might say that what they need is love. Poor people might say that what they need is money. What it is sure that people need and desire what they do not have. Money cannot buy everything. A good health is also something that people need most. In mv opinion, health, money and love are probably the three things that people need most to be happy in life.

Firstly, nobody can be happy without loving and being loved. Love is very important in our lives. It gives US mental stability and strength. It also helps US to gain self-confidence and to focus on our jobs. We can get love from family and friends. Love is much more difficult to obtain than money and it is probably what people need most.

Secondly, people need to take care of their bodies. A good health is important to accomplish all our objectives in life. A bad health can keep US from fulfilling our dreams. A bad health can prevent US from playing sports and performing other activities. A bad health might limit our career possibilities. A good health is definitely one of the things that people need most.

Everyone wants as much money as they can get. People work hard because they think money will give them happiness. We all want big houses, expensive cars, and all kind of luxuries It is also important to buy necessary goods like food and medicine. However, money cannot bring US happiness if we do not have love and health. Nevertheless, money is one of the things that people want the most.

In conclusion, the previous paragraphs should explain what people need most is love, health and money. Love takes care of our minds, health takes care of our bodies, and money takes car of our materialistic ambitions. With the first two we can accomplish many things in life and we can be happy. Money is also important. We probably need all three of them to be the happiest people in the world.

Kinds of Pollution in Bangkok

It is common knowledge that Mexico City, Sao Paolo, and Los Angeles are some of the most polluted cities in the world. Unfortunately, Bangkok is not far behind. Air pollution is a big problem in Thailand’s capital city. However, it is not the only kind of pollution that threats the residents of Bangkok. Noise pollution and water pollution are major concerns for the local authorities.

Air pollution is mostly caused by the fuel combustion of automobiles. As the population of Bangkok increases, as does that the number of vehicles. Furthermore, the gasoline price is inexpensive compared to other countries and people do not hesitate to drive their cars anytime they feel like it. Many factories surrounding the Bangkok area are also responsible for the excessive level of air pollution. It seems that the law is quite lax concerning this issue. In addition, the large amount of high building in the city does not allow a proper air flow to clean the atmosphere, creating a permanent cloud of toxic gases over the city.

Noise pollution is also a big problem in Bangkok, and the vehicles are also responsible for it, especially the vast number of old and poor condition cars running in the streets of the city. The big number of buses, tuk-tuks, motorcycles also contribute to the high level of noise. As hot as it is in Thailand, it is difficult to sleep at night with your windows opened due to the noise in the street.

Bangkok, also known as the Venice of Asia due to its large canal system, suffers from water pollution as well. All the canals are polluted. Often, some of these canals give off a quite disgusting smell, especially on very hot days. It is not difficult to see factories releasing hazardous wastes to the canals. These canals might cause some kind of diseases, especially to children who swim in them.

Air, water, and noise pollution are very difficult problems to solve. It seems that the local authorities do not as much as they ought to. However, the people of Bangkok could help reducing the pollution just by taking good care of the engines of their vehicles in order to save fuel and reduce the noise level.

My Two Best Friends

Friends are one of the most important things that we have in life. We have many friends and we can not live without them. We can never have enough friends. However, all of US have two or three people that we consider our “best friends. My best two friends are very different one from the other and they make me happy in very different ways. My best two friends names are Joe and Joy.

Joe has been my best friend since the day we were born. He is only four months younger than me. He is not only my best friend but he is also my cousin. We do not look alike at all. He is much taller and has long hair. However, our personalities are very similar. We both live เท Bangkok and we went to the same school, high school and university, although we studied different majors. We always have something to talk about and we have no secrets between each other. He is the person that always understands the way I feel and the way I think. Joe knows me better than my parents. What I like best about Joe is that he is always there when I need him, in the good times and the unhappy times. He has never let me down. They say that a friend in need is a friend indeed. That IS Joe.

On the other hand, Joy is completely different. She is not even a person. She is my faithful dog, but nevertheless my best friend. Joy is a big dog with long blond fur. She is a Golden Retriever and has won two dog beauty contests. Joy makes me happy in some ways that people cannot. She makes me feel good because she is always happy to see me She makes me feel safe and self-confident. Joy senses when I am happy and when I am sad. She understands me as much as Joe does. I wished I had more friends like Joy

Something that really makes me upset is that Joe and Joy do not get along. I have tried to spend time with the two of them together, but it is impossible. They do not like each Other. Joe says that he loves cats and that hates dogs. Joy does not say anything and she does not make any effort to be friends with Joe. I do not know what to do. Why my best two friends cannot get along? I wished someone could help me with this.

People need friends. It does not matter if they are humans or animals, but we need to love and feel loved. Joe and Joy makes me feel special in different ways and I know that I make them feel important too. They know that I love them and I know that they love me. Joe and Joy are definitely my best friends.
